Having all the little WordPress tweaks in one place makes it easy to manage and easy to replicate on new sites.

It's nice to see a lot of features that are typically distributed across several different types of plugins put into one.

Some sites might need additional features from more specific plugins, but for a lot of sites I think many of ASE's options will be all that's required.
